Dr. Macaulay has been practicing dentistry since 1994, both in private practice
and as part of the clinical faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She maintains a beautiful office with a small and very skilled staff. She thoroughly enjoys her job, and it shows in her enthusiasm and in the quality of her work.
Dr. Macaulay offers sincerity and honesty in her recommendations for your oral health. She will explain everything you need or want to know about your dental condition until you understand what your next step should be and why. She loves to make all her work beautiful but her primary focus is health. She is a perfectionist and will not be happy unless a treatment she has performed is exactly right.
On a personal note, Dr. Macaulay is very interested in general health and nutrition. She is the mother of six children, and the wife of a brilliant rocket scientist-turned-home schooling dad. She and her family can often be seen running along sidewalks or trails, enjoying the great outdoors. She continues to race, though more now in 5Ks than in full marathons. Over the years she has enjoyed mountaineering expeditions, century (100 miles) bike rides and all kinds of other adventures. She spent many years singing classical music with various choirs, including our own Santa Clarita Master Chorale. She served for two years in Ghana, West Africa, as a Peace Corps Volunteer and has traveled to many other parts of the world as well.
Educationally, Dr. Macaulay has earned honors upon graduation from every institution she has attended. With her degree in chemistry from Whittier College, she entered the UCLA School of Dentistry. In her last year there, she and a handful of others were recognized for their skill and allowed to join in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, normally for graduate students. From there she completed a residency in Hospital Dentistry at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Macaulay then joined the faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry as a professor in fixed prosthodontics (crown and bridge work). She very much enjoys sharing her talent with her patients in private practice.
In our office you will find that you rarely have a chance to enjoy our inviting reception area, since we run right on time. We respect your time and do our best to make sure we deliver the excellent service we are always striving for.
Jeanette, our office manager, is the person with whom you will mostly speak on the phone. She takes care of anything related to scheduling, billing and insurance. Her organizational skills are superior, which keeps our office running very smoothly. She is a wizard in her field and can answer just about any question you might have. Jeanette loves to surf, so if you do not see her at the office, she is probably in Hawaii riding a wave.
Stacey is our amazing hygienist. She is very skilled, thorough, dedicated, and best of all, a really nice gal. She will keep your gums in great health with her gentle touch and helpful tips about your home care. Like most moms, she is busy with her two girls and all their activities.
Jessica assists Dr. Macaulay with your treatment. She is a sweet and professional young lady, and also very thorough. She keeps the room and the instruments sterilized for your health and safety. When out of the office she'll be on the slopes snowboarding or buried in books with the classes she enjoys taking at COC.
Together, we share commitment and joy in what we do. We warmly welcome new members to our ‘family’ and look forward to finding out more about you. We are grateful for our patients who make our office a wonderful place to be.
